Tanzie Summer 2016, May Edition
What time is it? Summer time! (I think it's required to quote High School Musical every single year on the last day of school.) Here's an update of our summer so far.
-This was my attempt at an artsy picture of campus, signifying the end of a semester. It looks kind of lame. But I managed to get all A's this semester, squeezing by with an A- in my literary analysis class and I'm so happy about that because that class was hard and I learned so much and I'm proud of myself for only crying a little bit over my last paper.
-We went to 3 wedding receptions in one weekend and they all had dessert only (Booo!), so naturally we had to go to Olive Garden.
-A tradition we've started this summer: Morty's and Mini Golf every Thursday. It's $5 burger and fry day at Morty's and $2 day at mini golf, win win! We are pros at mini golfing now and I sure do love me some sweet potato fries.
-We went camping for a night a few weeks ago! We made some pretty good hobo dinners (sweet potatoes once again) and ate marshmallows with our new Marshmazing roasters that I got for my birthday and we were in the tent by like 10:00 ready for bed (haha we're such an old married couple). But there's nothing better than laying down and talking and looking at the stars. Plus it wasn't freezing. But I was glad that we were only there one night because seriously I had to pee like 4 times in less than 24 hours and wilderness bathroom life isn't my favorite kind of life.
-Sometimes when the racquetball courts are closed (as always), you have to resort to walking around campus. But we saw the cutest bunny ever. Also, check out Tanner's new shoes, so stylin'.
-Emily Woffinden sent me a letter with this picture and this note I wrote her in 6th grade. hahahahaha "Do you have an email?" It was seriously so thoughtful and she's just a great friend and an even greater person.
-What's better than spending a weekend with your family? Spending a weekend with your family without having to drive 2 hours to see them! Woohoo! We spent the (rainy) day in Logan with some mini golf, Angie's, a "walk" (slash hike), and some Aggie Ice Cream. These are my best friends (minus Mason, of course).
-Post church snapchats. We are now ward greeters meaning we awkwardly stand at the door before sacrament and say hello to people that have no idea who we are. It's fantastic.
-Todd and Sarah's wedding! We stayed the night after their reception (which had food! Yay!) in Lehi and went on a bike ride (which we definitely need to do more often) and then headed to Salt Lake for the ceremony. Todd was Tanner's mission companion and they are good friends and Sarah is wonderful as well. Tanner's mission president, Elder Dube, did the sealing which was really cool. Every time we see him he always says, "You look GREAT!" and in his accent it's the best thing. I love weddings- they're just so happy and exciting and it's fun remembering our wedding day as well. Also- funniest thing ever- Todd and Sarah walked out of the temple and everyone cheered and then these tourists just started taking pictures with them! Hahahaha they didn't know them at all but they started taking selfies and taking pictures of everyone. It was the weirdest thing ever. Only at Temple Square I guess hahahaha.
