MEXICO

We were in Arizona last weekend for Hayden's farewell talk (more on that later). On Friday, a bunch of Tanner's friends were headed to Mexico so we decided to tag along for a few days. We (there were like 15 of us) got there Friday afternoon and checked into our beach house. It's a big 4 bedroom house that's 10 steps from the ocean. And there was a roof you could climb up on (which was AWESOME at night for looking at the stars). (Tanner looking so fly on the roof) We headed down to the beach and I kind freaked out because I'm not that big of a fan of being swept under waves in the ocean but then I looked for seashells and drew pictures in the sand which was a lot better. That night we went to get tacos (haha so stereotypical but that's seriously all there is to eat anywhere you go! Tacos, burritos or quesadillas. But they aren't made with ground beef it's like steak or chicken.) After tacos we walked around the city and ate some churros a

I LOVE BIRTHDAYS. Especially ones for my very favorite person in the world. Tanner is 26!  He is so wise... So we celebrated on Saturday with lunch at Even Steven's with his mom, walking around Summerfest, seeing Finding Dory, and eating at Chuck A Rama (Ew! It was really hard for me to accept going here for dinner. But he wanted it so bad! He really is an old man.) Sunday was his actual birthday so we just hung out all day like a normal Sunday haha and then went up the canyon and saw tons of flowers and took tons of pictures that got deleted off of our memory card (let's not talk about it, I'm way sad.) So, Tanner, happy happy birthday. I love being married to you. Here are 26 reasons why... and a lot of selfie stick pictures from the weekend: 1. You always know how to make me laugh. Usually with your dance moves. 2. You've introduced me to all of my favorite shows. And you know just as many Office quotes as I do. 3. You're always up

Thoughts For Your Thoughts

This past week was our first full week with allllll the kids at Boys and Girls Club. It was hard. The first few days I wondered why the parents would want to leave their kids for 12 hours but now I totally get it hahaha. A lot of things went well, but it's just exhausting when you're putting so much effort into a job and the kids just don't want to participate and don't care. And there's seriously nothing I can do to make them want to be there. Like if i say "Please listen or you can't go to the movie on Thursday" they're like "Yay, I hate that movie!" Ugh. Also, why are Pokemon still cool? Seriously, put those dang cards away! I think the best part of the week was our field trip to the dollar theater. We watched Shaun the Sheep and I took a nice nap.  It was like a solid hour and a half without kids talking! Woohoo! Also it's crazy how much of a difference one kid can make- either for good or for bad. When the good kids (aka my fa
